- We just completed a 6-week project in Mid October 2008 for LivN Nsidout Wellness Complex & Inergy Restaurant in Simpsonville, SC. The project consisted of an environmentally-conscious landscape and irrigation installation.
- Also, in Mid October 2008, we completed a 3-week project working with Berkshire Property Advisors on creating an attractive and inviting landscape for their property signs at Providence Square Apartments. The project consisted of Landscape, Lighting and Irrigation installations.
- In September 2008, we completed the Phase II of The Apartments at Blakeney, a 300 unit Crosland apartment community in the Ballantyne area. We completed Phase I in time for the Spring Construction Bus Tour in May and received high praise for our work from tour members and our Clients. Phase II also consisted of landscape, drainage and irrigation installation. By working closely with the Developer and Architect we have created a design that integrates life-cycle management and maximizes curb appeal.
- On Tuesday, September 9, 2008, we held our first seminar “Landscaping for Property Managers” at the Renaissance Charlotte Suites Hotel in Charlotte, NC. J. Mark Smith, President/CEO was the speaker and from the participants surveyed it was an informative and beneficial seminar. Look for more seminars in the future.
- On Tuesday, July 29, 2008 J. Mark Smith, President/CEO was a panelist in the Greater Charlotte Apartment Association’s “Going Green: How Apartment Owners and Developers Can Get On Board” held at the Marriott Southpark in Charlotte, NC.
- We have a stone mason that can design and install stone monument signs. At Ashley Place Apartments on the corner of Electra Lane and Idlewild Road in Charlotte, we have installed a brick monument sign with a planter for annual flowers - a permanent landscape enhancement that will be enjoyed for years to come.
- As of January 1st, 2008, EDL became the primary landscape provider for Colonial Properties Trust. The landscape maintenance program has been designed around the EDL philosophy. This includes redesigning annual beds to enhance curb appeal, thereby exposing the community at the earliest opportunity for drive by traffic. It also includes implementation of a multi-year life cycle management program with turf trees and shrubs to enhance the quality of living for its residents.
